This soda-fired stoneware urn is a distinctive, architecturally inspired form, measuring 5.5 inches tall and 3.5 x 4.5 inches wide. Its rectangular body is softened by the application of a creamy Georgia clay slip, blending seamlessly with the natural warm orange hues and subtle surface textures from the firing process.
The lid, featuring bold black and earthy stripes, creates a striking contrast, while the soda firing lends areas of orange peel-like texture, a hallmark of this atmospheric process. A beautifully balanced piece, both structured and organic, offering a timeless vessel for memory and presence.
